The jeep driver didn̵7;t stop for police and Macomb County Deputy Governor began chasing the car. Authorities said the track was called off before the driver reached Sterling Heights.
No other law enforcement agency followed the track as police stopped chasing the car.
The jeep driver, identified as a 17-year-old from Detroit, was reportedly driving south on Van Dyke Road at speeds over 100 mph, running a red light at a key intersection. anywhere
When running through a red light on Van Dyke Road near 15 miles of road, a Jeep driver crashed a Chevrolet Malibu, causing the driver to suddenly die, a 20-year-old woman, Sterling Heights police said.
