A US Navy medical unit shot deadly two people at a business park in Frederick, Maryland on Tuesday. The gunman of suspected Fantahun Girma Woldesenbet, 38, was later shot and killed at the Fort Detrick US military base.
Gunmen went into business at Riverside Tech Park, keeping inside people safe, police chief Jason Lando told reporters on Tuesday. After that shooting, he said the suspect drove about 10 minutes to Fort Derick, where he was killed by soldiers.
“People are no longer at risk,” Lando said. “There are no more alarms in the Frederick community.”
Police received a call to have a gunman on duty Tuesday morning at the business park. When officers arrived, two adult men were found shot and in critical condition. The victims were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The FBI, ATF, Baltimore and Maryland State Police are helping with the investigation.
