At 9 a.m. PT on Friday, April 2, it was announced that Regé-Jean Page will not reprise his role as Simon Duke of Hastings in season two of Bridgerton.

I didn’t think I would go out of the way when I said RJP was the standout star of the sassy regency-era drama, so to say that. Bridgerton The nest being shaken is an understatement:

As a fan of Regé’s series and dramas, I am disappointed that we won’t see him raise his lovely child or share some love with Daphne or lick some more inanimate items in the next season:
