Seven college students were killed and four others were injured in a tragedy in Bolivia when a railing collapsed, sending them to fall from a fourth-floor balcony.
A wild video of Tuesday’s incident showed students from the Public University of El Alto crammed onto a balcony before the railing opened.
Tragedy strikes in the university’s financial science building as students try to get into lecture halls for meetings.
The footage obtained from The Sun also shows a woman pushing another close to the railing before it collapses.
Bolivia Police Commissioner Jhonny Aguilera Montecinos on Wednesday said women seen in the fight will be investigated as part of the investigation.
Montecinos also identified the victim̵7;s cause of death as a result of “multiple injuries”.
“We are devastated by the tragedy that happened at the #ElAlto State University (UPEA), which resulted in several deaths and injuries,” Bolivia President Luis Arce wrote on Twitter.
“Our deepest condolences to the El Alto people and their families in need. We wait for immediate clarification of the facts. “
