Alienware has announced the latest enhancements to its flagship Alienware M15 R5 15-inch gaming laptop lineup.It will begin shipping on April 20 in the US for $ 2,229.99 to begin with. The basic configuration of the M15 R5 has an octa-core Ryzen 7 5800H processor and Nvidia’s RTX 3060.You can upgrade to the Ryzen 9 5900HX and RTX 3070 octa-core processors.Both the RTX 3060 and 3070 have a total graphics power rating of 115W with a boost. Interestingly, the 3060 has a higher base and increases the clock signal (base: 1,387MHz, boost: 1,702MHz) than the 3070 option (base: 1,110MHz, boost: 1,560MHz)

Either way, this is the highest clock speed we’ve seen in a fairly slim 2021 gaming laptop, Alienware is pushing the clock up almost to the ceiling, and it’s nice to be transparent about it. With these power requirements, as Nvidia now wants manufacturers to share

Dell says this is the first Alienware laptop to feature fast 3,200MHz DDR4 RAM and is also user-configurable with two SO-DIMM slots.This is going in the right direction as the M15 R3 and R4 both. The company says the laptop’s colors are designed to “improve smudge resistance and a premium finish to the surface.” This model can be configured with Cherry Dell’s Ultra-Low Profile mechanical switch, announced this keyboard collaboration for the M15 R4 and will be available for $ 150 for this new model too.
