AMD RDNA 3 Based Navi 33 GPUs for next-gen Radeon RX graphics cards can have 80 processors and 5120 cores.

Rumors about AMD RDNA 3’s next generation GPU ‘Navi 3X’ have begun to hit the web as trusted developer KittyYuko, who posted accurate information for the Ampere GPU several months prior to its launch, has posted. The alleged first specification for AMD’s Navi 33 GPU will power the next generation of Radeon RX gaming graphics cards.

According to KittyYuko, the AMD Navi 33 GPU is alleged to have the same specs as the Navi 21 GPU, but will be based on the next generation RDNA 3 GPU IP core, meaning we’ll get the same performance as the Big Navi 21 GPU. (RDNA 2) available in future mainstream graphics cards. This sounds too good to be true. But considering that AMD has promised a huge performance boost with its Radeon RX RDNA 3 line of graphics cards, that could very well be the case.

As for specifications, if the Navi 33 is similar to the Navi 21, we can expect a total of 80 processors, containing a total of 5120 stream processors if AMD maintains the same number of cores per CU as 64 SPs on existing chips. Now, what’s interesting is that previous rumors hinted that the Navi 31 GPU will have 80 processors, but will be based on the new RDNA 3 IP.It looks like the 80 CU rumor could be true as well. But that won’t be all the features the chip will offer.

The AMD Navi 31 chip will end up with an MCM solution and feature 80 dual-chip tablets and each with 5120 cores, rounding up to 160 processors and a total of 10,240 stream processors if that becomes. This case (And it looks a lot more than it used to be) We can definitely expect the 80 CU Navi 33 part, the Navi 32 SKU might have roughly 120-140 CUs of CU, and that could be a multi-chip module design.

This will be a very solid GPU design, and we can still expect it to be based on the newest process nodes such as TSMC’s 5nm, AMD has patented an active bridge chipplet solution for next-generation GPUs.
