The Apple Watch 7, Apple’s next-gen smartwatch, may have more water than previous iterations. The company was reportedly refreshing the swim-tracking feature of the wearable device ahead of its expected launch. Released later this year
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is “developing a new swim tracking feature for the Apple Watch.” Gurman did not give any details on how the new feature will improve swim tracking capabilities. How about the current Apple Watch Series 6?
In fact, this Intel is more or less a footnote in a report that revealed rumors about a rugged Apple Watch 7 last month, people familiar with the project told Bloomberg that the explorer-friendly Apple smartwatch is coming. To Garmin customers, outdoor models can wear a more protective rubberized exterior than the familiar aluminum, titanium and stainless steel housings.
This version alone can support advanced swim tracking features, while the current Apple Watch is rated 5 ATM (swim up to 50 meters / 164 feet) with waterproof wearables. For example, the Amazfit T-Rex Pro and the recently released Garmin Enduro are rated 10 ATM.
In addition to improved water resistance, most of the best sports watches have military-grade durability ratings for temperature and scratch resistance.
Of course, the swim tracking feature may be arriving regardless of this rugged Apple Watch, the next watchOS software update or the sensors added to the flagship Apple Watch 7 model can improve that tracking. Can swim
The swim-tracking upgrade might not be coming at all.Gurman is often the trusted source for Apple’s rumors, but information on the company’s upcoming smartwatch is hard to find. I heard it was right.
We are starting to see more reliable leaks as the Apple Watch 7 release date approaches. The best Apple Watch is likely to arrive in late summer or early fall.
