Today is the first day you can order the new iPad Pro, and Walmart is now offering discounts on the 11-inch models, both 128GB and 256GB down to $ 749 and $ 849 respectively, which is $ 50 off the regular price if you order. The tablet will ship on May 24th today.

Apple hasn’t changed much of the design of the iPad Pros this year, though. But there are also improvements to both the 1

1-inch and 12.9-inch models inside. Both run on the new M1 chipset that powered the latest MacBooks released last year. In our experience right now, the M1 processor offers a noticeable increase in performance, so we expect the same for the new iPad Pros (stay tuned for our full review in the coming weeks).

These iPad advantages also come with support for 5G and a USB-C port that doubles as a Thunderbolt port that is compatible with USB 4.0. Apple is also adding a new 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera to the side array. The latter works with a new feature called Center Stage that will help you stay in the frame when you use FaceTime and other video calls.

Unfortunately, the new 11-inch iPad Pro doesn’t have the kind of Liquid Retina XDR screen that the 12.9-inch model has.Apple notes a new display technology for its two larger tablets. But that doesn’t mean the 11-inch model has smaller panels. But you get a 2,388 x 1668 resolution Liquid Retina display with ProMotion and True Tone technology. The panel, like the 12.9-inch model, is also compatible with the second-generation Apple Pencil as well.

Walmart discounts are great discounts if you’re planning on getting an iPad Pro in 2021, but keep in mind that you can still shop for the 2020 model from other retailers, and there’s a good chance they’ll get discounts more often. When the 2021 iPad Pros were widely available If you’re comfortable skipping this year’s updates, the 2020 iPad Pro is still a solid machine.
