South Carolina police said they arrested an army trainee after he hijacked a school bus full of elementary students on Thursday, WYFF4 reported. From a Fort Jackson training facility with a rifle, officials said. The man, still armed, jumped into a school bus waiting to take the boys to a nearby elementary school. “He told the bus driver he didn’t want to hurt anyone. He wanted him to drive to the next city, ”said Richland County Sheriff Leon Lotte. Some students called their parents on the bus to let them know what had happened, Lott added. The man then “frustrated a little”; after the children asked him several times who he would hurt and gave him. Everyone got off the car He took over the driver’s seat and drove for a few miles before he dropped the bus, left his gun inside. Police said they arrested him after finding him walking through a neighborhood. Authorities said the man would face multiple kidnapping charges.
