Brazil approves imports of Russia’s fifth Sputnik vaccine, India’s kovacin vaccine

Brazilian health regulator Anvisa on Friday voted to approve the importation of Russia’s Sputnik V vaccine and India’s Covaxin COVID-19 vaccine, but with both conditions.

The 4-1 vote by Anvisa’s committee follows an April ruling to reject a Brazilian state request for the Sputnik V for lack of information that guarantees safety, quality and performance. and in March to reject Covaxin because it did not meet Anvisa manufacturing standards.
