Canzano: Blazers are allowed to open Moda Center at 10% capacity.

Portland Trail Blazers will be allowed to welcome fans into Moda Center at 10% capacity starting from Friday night they play the Los Angeles Lakers, according to a tweet by John Canzano from The Oregonian Canzano, citing an unnamed source. Claiming the move has been approved and he expects an official announcement to take effect Wednesday morning.

The NBA’s Blazers and other franchises have been hit by the COVID-19 epidemic throughout the 2020-21 season, providing funding for teams to play their home games entirely but without fans. Because the vaccine is widely available, state governments relax restrictions on public assembly, allowing many franchises to welcome back fans to a limited extent, usually as a percentage of the total number of participants.

Oregon was one of the slowest to ease the limit, making the Blazers one of the last teams to reopen the ring. Today, a tweet from Portland stars Damian Lillard, CJ McCollum, and Jusuf Nurkic mourns the truth.Canzano’s tweet was followed by an outcry.

Moda Center holds about 20,000 fans at normal capacity. The 10% return should have given 2000 fans a glimpse of the game from the stands.

Canzano added that shortlisted applicants will be the first to purchase tickets, including season ticket holders and team sponsors. He also suggested that the limit could be raised to 20% for the post-season.
