Man Wants to Post Controversial Signs at Lake Saint Louis Popeyes




LAKE SAINT LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Police have released surveillance videos of suspects they believe posted controversial signs at Popeye’s in Lake Saint Louis.

The sign reads, “Effective 6-1-21. This store is under new management. and will reserve the right to refuse service to white people. We apologize for the inconvenience Sign General Manager Mason” This sign is posted at the Popeyes location near Highway N and I-64/40. Authorities believe the incident was a hoax.

Police: A controversial sign posted at a St. Charles County drive-thru restaurant is considered a prank.

Police in Lake St. Louis confirmed they were investigating a sign stuck in the drive-through lane of a Popeyes restaurant near Highway N and Highway 64/40.

Police told News 4 the suspect was not working at Popeyes. Surveillance video showed the suspect pulling a black sedan at the drive-thru. Anyone with information will be asked to call Lake St. Louis Police at 636-625-8018.
