SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO) – COVID-19 cases were seen in South Dakota as there were 222 new cases announced by the Department of Health on Thursday.
According to the latest update, there are currently 100 hospitalizations, compared with 94 on Wednesday. Total hospitalizations were 7,099.
The state’s total number of lawsuits were 119,197, compared with 118,975 on Wednesday.
The active cases are currently 2,484, down from Wednesday (2,511).
The Department of Health reported one new death. The death toll is 1,939.New deaths are reported in men in the 70-70’s.
Total recovered patients were now 114,774 compared to Wednesday (114,526).
The number of people testing negative is now 331,338 from Wednesday (330,646).
There were 914 new individuals tested in data reported Thursday for the new individual test positive rate of 24.2%.
The last seven-day total positive test rate reported by DOH was 9.2%. The most recent one-day PCR test rate was 10.8%.
According to DOH, 243,633 Pfizer vaccines received 11,593 doses of Janssen vaccine and 217,126 doses of Moderna vaccine to 287,609 people.
87,064 people received two doses of Moderna and 97,671 received two doses of Pfizer, according to the DOH.
