“They’re slowly increasing,” Hopson told Sky News.
“The level is much lower than what we’ve seen in the previous wave.”
Hopson previously posted a series of tweets outlining his views on the vaccine and its impact on the newer vaccine.
He said leaders who trust the NHS have seen three different attributes with this wave.
Firstly, the number of hospital patients infected with COVID-19 has decreased. Second, the patients are younger. And third and most importantly “Few cases were given two vaccinations and after two to three weeks of building protection. [that are being hospitalised]”;.
“And that’s why our senior executives say they think the link between COVID-19 and hospitalizations and mortality is very high. which we saw in the last wave – the link is broken for this variant of the model.”
