“Danger!” Guest host Aaron Rodgers appeared to have been caught on Monday after a contestant took the opportunity to dig up painful memories from the former Green Bay Packers defender.
In the “Final Jeopardy” round, contestant Scott Shewfelt did not answer the final clue about the daytime television personality.
He asked Rodgers about conflicting stadium goals during last season’s NFC Championship game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which ultimately ended football’s season – and tickets to the Super Bowl.
“Who wants to kick that gate?”
Rodgers first appeared in shock before looking down for a moment with a smile plastered on his face.
“That’s a very good question,” he said while laughing. “Should be correct Unfortunately for today’s game it’s not right. “
Rodgers made his debut Monday as the host of the show. He is expected to host in the next two weeks, according to the “Jeopardy!” Website.
The guest series was announced, as well as award-winning journalists and celebrities after longtime “Jeopardy!” Host Alex Trebek died late last year from cancer.
Among the prospective guests are CNN broadcaster Anderson Cooper and NBC’s “TODAY” co-host Savannah Guthrie.
