ENGLEWOOD, Colo .– Von Miller, a Denver Broncos spy operator, will not face criminal charges following an investigation by the Parker (Colorado) Police Department earlier this year, according to the District Attorney’s Office for the 18th Judicial District.
The office refused to charge. “Based on an investigation of the currently available information,” according to a statement Friday.
The district attorney’s office said the case did not meet the standards of the probable cause of acceptable evidence. “ To support a conviction without a reasonable doubt and the decision to charge is in the interests of justice. ”
The office said it would not comment further on the investigation. “It has never been cited, arrested, or filed.”;
Police in Parker, a southeastern Denver suburb, admitted Miller was under investigation. Miller did not comment publicly on any part of the investigation, and he did not respond to a request for comment.
Neither the police nor the district attorney said what the investigation was for or what charges Miller faced.
On Thursday, Broncos general manager George Paton said the team wants Miller to return for the 2021 season.Miller has an option for the year on the contract that the team must be involved in – but added he wants to see it.
“Obviously it was a serious situation. But we want to let it out before we can comment on it, ” Paton said.
