Does the snake have ears? | Live Science

A snake is a unique animal with a body, limbs, tongue flickering, and the ability to eat the entire prey. They mostly rely on their sense of smell to hunt their prey, although they also use sight and sound. But do snakes have ears or not?

Yes and no, Sara Ruane, a serpent at Rutgers University in New Jersey, told Live Science. Like reptiles, snakes do not have external ear structures. However, they have an ear bone in their head that is used for hearing.
