Following the Dragon Quest 35th anniversary livestream earlier this week, A little more information has been revealed about the big revelation. Dragon Quest XII: Flame of Destiny.
Dragon Quest’s official Twitter account confirmed that the game is powered by the previous Unreal Engine 5. Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age It apparently works on UE4 and in case you were wondering, yes, Unreal Engine 5 actually supports the Nintendo Switch.
apart from this Series creator Yuji Horii shared a statement on Square Enix̵7;s Career Page – revealing that the story in the new show has been completed. Takeshi Uchikawa will return to direct the new story. Uchikawa is also working with XI as a director.
Dragon Quest XII has been described as a “darker” and more mature game in the long running series. There are also in-game decisions that will determine the direction of the game. And the battle system on command will have some changes.
