If you follow a service like DownDetector, you will know that there are almost all types of downtime every day. But it’s hard for Facebook to dive in.Today, however, the main site is showing an error message and it’s not clear how long it will take to recover.
Downtime is also important, with websites for Instagram and WhatsApp inaccessible within a few weeks of the last outage. Earlier, Facebook’s gaming platform was in trouble, but tweeted that the problem was current. “Not related”
Update (5:53 p.m. ET): No matter what happens (That also deleted Facebook’s internal website, following a tweet by Jane Manchun Wong) appears to have unfurled itself. Based on the reports and what each Engadget writer saw, some people were able to access the website and app without any problems again, but others continued to have intermittent issues.
Update (7:30 p.m. ET): In a tweet, Facebook said a “configuration change” would cut some services. But everything should be back online now.
And we’re back! Earlier today, a configuration change prevented some people from using Facebook services.Since then, we have been quick to investigate and fix the issue.
