A man was arrested by law enforcement after jumping off a United Express flight at a taxi at Los Angeles International Airport (KCAL/KCBS via CNN).
LOS ANGELES — Police arrested a man Friday night after he jumped from a plane in a taxi at Los Angeles International Airport. and the FBI believes it may have been an attempted hijacking.
Officials said the man allegedly tried to open the cockpit several times before opening the service door and jumping off the plane.
A United Express flight left the gate on the way to Salt Lake City when the incident happened. The plane returned to the gate. and continued flying a few hours later.
The man was arrested on the runway for unknown injuries, neither the FBI nor the airline nor his name was disclosed.
Airport police and the FBI are investigating what may be an attempted hijacking. no additional information
