Four police officers in Southern California are under investigation after video emerged showing a suspect being punched and kicked during a mall arrest last week. Officials said on Wednesday.

Both officers punched the suspect in the face and body. A woman in street clothes restrained his leg. A fourth agent, in uniform, shows up in front of the camera and kicks the suspect in the face.

The suspect was not identified by the police. A police spokesman said he was arrested and charged with resisting arrest and burglary.
Police in a statement on Wednesday said officers had high standards and were committed to building trust in the community.
