Honeywell and rapper Will.i.am recently released a cutting-edge face mask with built-in wireless headphones.

I’ll be honest, nothing about that name is remotely predictable. In fact, it gets more and more strange with every word that follows. You wouldn’t expect Will.i.am to launch a more medical product, partnering with Honeywell on this… but the rapper and OEM conglomerate have teamed up to make a mask that combines the essentials of honeywell. The best of both sides together is named XUPERMASK, the $ 299 face mask comes with dual three-speed fans and a HEPA filter, but also packs a pair of Bluetooth headphones with noise canceling and longevity. 7 hours of battery life I would honestly say the link with Will.i.am, the mask is really futuristic (designed by Hollywood costume designer Jose Fernandez, who also designed the astronaut suit. SpaceX too), the fact that it was built by Honeywell makes it extremely reliable, and I can’t believe I’m saying this. But I can actually see myself wearing these.

XUPERMASK tries to turn the face mask into a pop-culture item. Of course, it’s not as hairy … the mask is awaiting FDA approval and comes with a replaceable HEPA filter made by Honeywell, a custom-built company based on the world’s greatest HVAC design. The pop culture elements come from the rapper and band member Black Eyed Peas Will.i.am, who aim to turn the XUPERMASK into a betrayal pair of wireless headphones as well.

As far as the part of the face mask, the XUPERMASK is universal to wear, with a silicone face seal and a high-performance elastic strap that wraps around your head. This mask comes with dual fans that run at 3 speed settings to deliver fresh air directly to your face while you breathe. Air is pushed through the pleated HEPA filters manufactured by Honeywell, and the filters are designed to be replaced every 30 days for optimum performance. Enough to keep you active all day … And to close the deal, the mask also sports a glowing LED around each fan for a futuristic appeal.

In addition to being just a mask, the XUPERMASK (pronounced Supermask if you’re still wondering) also includes wireless headphones. The earpiece emerges from the side of the mask and can be connected to the mask on the designated magnetic panel. When you want to wear it, just cover the headphones and place them in your ears. The earphones come with bluetooth 5.0, seamless pairing with any smart device. They come with active noise cancellation. It also has a built-in noise reduction microphone for things like answering calls or sending voice messages. There is no indication of where this microphone is. But I would be totally impressed if it was in the mask case. It basically means that you can talk while wearing a mask and not muffled your voice.

XUPERMASK is available in two colors right now, one in solid black and the other in a white + orange outfit.Just look at it, it looks pretty impressive.LED ring, metal fan cover, and magnetic earbuds, all. This makes the XUPERMASK different, the mask also comes with a built-in control unit on either side, allowing you to toggle fan speeds, LED lights on / off, ANC features, and do basic things like answer calls or play pause music. Fan-powered masks with headphones from the top of the head sound like a crazy idea that might actually work, and with XUPERMASK, Honeywell and Will.i.am betting in the future the masks will still be. A typical outdoor facial accessory… In this case, having a pair of wireless headphones installed in your mask sounds a little more reasonable. XUPERMASK is currently available in two sizes and retails for $ 299. This mask is part of XUPERKIT ( I guess the nomenclature is Will.i.am’s idea), which includes a carry case, a replaceable 3-month HEPA filter, a USB charging cable, and replaceable earbud tips for Different ear sizes, XUPERMASK is not yet FDA approved but is authorized for emergency use.
