HPD examines potential human trafficking after 90 found in SW Houston.



HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) – Police are investigating a potential human smuggling case involving more than 90 people found in their home in southwest Houston on Friday.

According to the Houston Police Department, dozens of people were in the house, located in block 12200 of Chessington Drive, not far from the South Beltway, near the Southwest Freeway.

A tweet by HPD said the incident was initially reported as a kidnapping before it became more.

Police sent superiors to the scene. No other information was immediately available when HPD first tweeted about the event at around 12:30 p.m.
