Jeff Bridges welcomed fans about his lymphoma diagnosis, saying on his website that his tumor “shrunk dramatically”.
“I had a CAT scan to see if my new protocol was causing my tumors to shrink,” “The Big Lebowski” actor wrote earlier this month. “It turned out to work beautifully. That has shrunk greatly. I went home with the news ”
Feeling euphoria briefly, Bridges recalled turning on his TV and visualizing the Jan. 6 riots of Congress, with President Donald Trump̵7;s radical supporters besieging Congress.
“Seeing our country hurting itself broke my heart,” he added. “There was a question in me – what would a person do in this situation? My advisor [the late artist] Rozzell Sykes comes to mind, his mantra is love. ”
Bridges first informed fans of his lymphoma diagnosis in October, referring to his iconic “Dude” character from the Coen Brothers’ 1998 cult classic.
“As a friend said… the new S ** T has arrived,” the entertainer said at the time. “I was diagnosed with lymphoma. Even if it is a serious disease But I feel fortunate to have a good medical team and the prognosis is good. ”
“I’m starting treatment and will let you know about my recovery,” he continued, adding that he was “deeply grateful for the love and support from my family and friends.”
Bridges updated fans on his website and Instagram page last month. The Oscar winner said he “felt good” and shaved his head, accepted the puppy and celebrated his 71st birthday.
He later posted a sweet photograph of his long-time love affair, Susan Geston, his wife and their new puppy, to wish followers a Happy New Year.
“Let us together dream the world we want to live in and make these dreams come true through our actions,” he wrote alongside a photograph of him and Geston in the coordinating set.
