Juul agrees to pay North Carolina $40 million to settle e-cigarette allegations.



Matthew L. Myers, president and chief executive of the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids, hailed the North Carolina settlement as a good step. But said it was time for the FDA to take action. He said only the FDA had the power to ban sales of flavored and high-nicotine e-cigarettes, fueling the youth e-cigarette epidemic.
