LAS VEGAS (AP) — For the first time in pageant history, the title of Miss Nevada USA was won by a ladyboy.
Kataluna Enriquez took home the winner on Sunday at the South Point hotel-casino in Las Vegas.
Enriquez, 27, won the Miss Silver State USA pageant in March. This is the preliminary competition for the Miss Nevada USA pageant.
She beat out 21 other applicants to represent Nevada at the Miss USA pageant to be held on Nov. 29.
