However, for just three seasons, Luka Doncic has reached a point in his career that his other world performances can be overlooked. We’ve seen him score 46 points in one game. We’ve seen him create a game winner from behind the three point line. We have seen him go through the void that human beings should not see. But with everything Doncic has done in his career, his performance with the Wizards is unlike anything the league has ever seen.
On Saturday night, Doncic scored 31 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and distributed 20 assists in 39 minutes of play. Perhaps my favorite number in all of his lines is the singular turnover he strives for.He has shot 12 of 23 from the field, 1 of 6 from depth and 6 of 11 from the free-throw line. This statistic isn’t just striking. But it is almost unmatched throughout NBA history.
Doncic joins Magic Johnson, Russell Westbrook and Oscar Robertson as the only player in NBA history to post 30+ scores, 10+ rebounds and 20+ assists in games.
Doncic is also the first player since the Chris Paul show on December 10, 2016, with at least 20 assists but no more than one turnover. Only five players have done it since 1996: John Stockton (x3), Avery Johnson, Steve Nash, Deron Williams and Chris Paul (x2) .When I tweeted this, Mavs PR was kind enough to speak to Sher. Perry at the top:
Adding to this: Luka Dončić becomes the first player in @NBA history to save the game with at least 20 assists but no more than one turnover while scoring 30+ points https://t.co / AOCfAphjUo

Oddly enough, tonight was the first game since August 8, 2020, that the Mavericks won when Doncic had at least 15 assists, they had a 0-4 draw when he scored that point this season heading into the night.
Oh, and one more thing, Luka Doncic passed Michael Jordan for 30 points, triple doubles.
To add to the crazy night, Doncic also had an incredibly efficient shooting night.Doncic is now one of only three players since 1983 to have a game where they score> 30 points, with at least 20. Assists grab> 10 total rebounds while shooting more than 50% off the pitch: Magic Johnson (28/11/1998) and Russell Westbrook (29/3/2021).
Doncic continues to rewrite the record books and is only for the third season.
