Mark Henry signs with AEW for coaching and criticism roles.

Henry WWE Hall of Famer debuts his AEW at Double or Nothing PPV tonight.

Tony Schiavone has introduced Henry as one of the critics for AEW Rampage, making his debut in August. Schiavone also said Henry will serve as a coach to AEW’s talent.

Henry, 49, made his WWE debut in 1996. He continues to win the company’s WWF European Championship, ECW Championship and World Heavyweight Championship. Henry has been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as a member of the 2018 class.

Henry’s last ring appearance took place at The Greatest Royal Rumble in April 2018, where he competed in the 50-man Royal Rumble.

Henry’s last on-camera appearance in WWE took place in January 2021 in the Raw edition of Legends Night. Henry took a scooter backstage in this segment and was ridiculed by Randy Orton.

AEW did not specify in Double or Nothing that it intended to use Henry in the ring position.
