Houston – Memorial Hermann is scheduled to open a coronavirus vaccine clinic at NRG Park later this week. Rather, it is only open to those who have been invited by the hospital system to register for an appointment.
According to Kathryn Williams of Memorial Hermann, the Drive-thru clinic will be open Thursday through Sunday and officials aim to vaccinate about 13,000 people.
This is what we know now. This story will be updated as new information is released.
Only those in stage 1B are eligible to receive the vaccine at the clinic. These groups include people 65 years or older or those aged 16 and over who have previously qualified. You can get more information about Phase 1B by clicking here.
Williams said the clinic would only be open to people 65 and older and people who have received treatment or have been previously patients of the Memorial Hermann Medical Group. Previously vaccinated with Memorial Hermann but unable to receive the injection will also be invited.
Williams said people can register for appointments only if they are invited to do so from Memorial Hermann.
Not according to Williams. Only those registered for an appointment can receive the vaccine at this clinic. An ID matching your name and date of birth must be presented on the appointment confirmation.
