Microsoft’s new Windows 10 taskbar widgets started rolling out.



Microsoft started rolling out the biggest change to the Windows taskbar in years. New weather and news taskbar widgets will be available in Windows 10 starting today, offering weather information directly in the Windows taskbar.The widgets are also expanded to include news feeds, stocks, sports, and weather information.

The content mini-feed appears only when you enable the widget and is fully personalized with the latest sports news, headlines, and weather information. Microsoft uses the Microsoft News network to display news and content from the source. More than 4,500 data and companies use AI to learn what news is relevant to you when you close or like feed stories.

If you are not interested in the new widgets, you can easily disable them or you can keep the weather information in the taskbar. This new widget will begin rolling out today for those who opted for the April 2021 cumulative update preview for Windows 10 and broader availability in the coming weeks.
