Mark Pavelich, member of the US Olympic hockey team “Miracle On Ice” 1980 was found dead in the Central Minnesota Rehabilitation Center.
A 63-year-old man died at Eagle’s Healing Nest, where he was receiving mental health treatment, according to the Minnesota Star Tribune.Pavelich was under a civil obligation to assault his neighbor with a 4-foot metal pipe in August 2019.
Emergency police were called to Pavelich’s villa around 8:30 am on Thursday after the deaths were reported. Nobody saw the former NHLer since 8pm the day before.
The cause of death was not immediately known.
Pavelich showed the US team in Lake Placid to assemble a helping hand in Mike Eruzione̵7;s goal of standing the winner with his frustration over the vaunted Russian team. The Americans beat Finland to win the gold medal.

The 5-foot-7 Minnesota native entered a seven-year NHL career that began in 1981, including a break with the Minnesota Rangers North Star and the San Jose Sharks.
