When the 2022 NFL draft arrives, we’ll know more about the future of the Pittsburgh Steelers, and we’ll know quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. Will he come back and if not, if the current subs on the roster are set to take his place?
Sports Illustrated introduced a new mock draft and they took the approach that the Steelers already had at the back of the quarterback and led the Steelers in a different direction in the first round.
They had the Steelers take over Mississippi State’s offensive Charles Cross with a 15th overall pick.
I’d love to criticize this with the confidence that Mason Rudolph or Dwayne Haskins are the obvious heirs of Roethlisberger But with guys like Sam Howell, Kedon Slovis and Malik Willis all on board. This is difficult to cope with. Even Florida cornerback Kaier Alam would be a great choice to replace Steven Nelson and eventually become the No. 1
defender when Joe Haden retires. What about Steelers fans? In this scenario, should the Steelers pick a defender, or is there a player you like more? Let us know in the comments.
