New COVID-infected patients come from asymptomatic transmission.

GREENSBORO, NC – You might even be spreading COVID-19 without even knowing it.

New data from the CDC show that more than half of cases are caused by people who have been infected with the virus but aren’t sick.

As hospitals continue to grapple with staff and potential, area health experts warn we are playing a dangerous game.

59% of COVID transmission comes from people without symptoms. You might go out to a restaurant to eat or go for a jog with a few friends who are not in your home and unconsciously expose yourself and others to the virus.

“If we keep on taking this course and I think we’re continuing it, the way it looks really scary,”

; said Dr. Cynthia Snyder, infectious disease specialist at Cone Health.

Health professionals sounded the alarm because COVID-19 patients in the Triad group were out of control. Infectious disease doctors agree that they underestimate the transmission asymptomatic.

“A few days before those symptoms developed, they had a very high spread of the virus,” explains Dr Snyder.

Dr Snyder, who works with some of the sick patients at Cone Health, told the FOX8 that the increased transmission of the infection was a direct result of the congregation over the holidays and ignored 3W.

“I think we really have to make sacrifices now. Our actions must be in the interests of the community and try to refrain from going out to places. The fears we had earlier in the spring of trying to cut back on our activities led to a resurgence, ”said Dr Snyder.

She told FOX8 that you should consider anyone outside your family as a potential provider.

“If your kids are playing in a playground with other kids, wearing a mask is very important for everyone because you are around someone and you don’t know if they might get sick,” said Dr. Snyder said.

It was news that worries Jocelyn Williams.

“It surprised me to see people without masks. I think we have to get more than 6 feet. [apart]I’m talking about 10 or 12 feet, ”Williams said.

John Motsinger has watched three people close to him die of the virus and hoped that more people would take the consequences more seriously.

“If half of the people are spreading without their awareness, wearing a mask makes sense. It’s… the lowest burden you have, ”Motsinger said.

And will help relieve suffering for the hospital in the area and help the staff to breathe.

“Our hospitals are full of patients in need of such critical care, we no longer need to have a patient with COVID, if it can be prevented by someone’s actions is the way. Snyder said in the end.

Dr Snyder also said that if you work in an office even if there is only one other person in the room, But you should keep the mask, as you may unknowingly spread the virus.
