Kanu went missing when he failed to appear in court in 2015 and his whereabouts were unknown before his arrest. Authorities did not disclose where he was arrested.
“He was brought back to Nigeria for further prosecution after disappearing on bail on 11 counts,” Malami said.
Kanu was arrested on Sunday, 27 June 2021.
