The Alabama Department of Health said all COVID-19 vaccination appointments through the district’s health department were full.
ADPH “was informed that the COVID-19 Vaccine Hotline: 1-855-566-5333. I’m having a problem Authorities are continuing to work to expand the call center vaccination capabilities, “the agency said in the announcement.” There are no more appointments at the district health department at this time. “
Callers to the Vaccine Helpline can provide information to be placed on the waiting list and will be in touch as soon as additional appointments are made.
The ADPH said demand for COVID-19 continues to exceed supply, with more than 326,000 healthcare workers and nearly 350,000 in Alabama eligible for the vaccine as they are 75 years or older.
Alabama received 271,925 vaccines, and as of the week ended Jan. 9, 87,138 were administered.
ADPH launched a COVID vaccination hotline last week, and an overwhelming number of calls received more than 1.1 million people in 24 hours. Online registration is in development. But not yet available
