Orange County, Florida, is launching a “I Got My Shot” COVID-19 vaccination campaign. Many “regional partners”, including Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando Resorts, are helping promote the “I Got My Shot” COVID-19 vaccination campaign. This campaign

We need your help to protect our community from COVID-19 and reach herd immunity as quickly as possible.

The ‘I Got My Shot’ Public Safety Campaign is designed to refute vaccine myths, highlighting the trust in the community and encouraging residents to be vaccinated and sponsored. The campaign is a collaboration between the Florida Department of Health in Orange County, Orange County Government and regional partners.

With the increase in cases of COVID-19 infection again in some parts of the country, access to herd immunity is essential.In Orange County, only 26.8% of all residents are at least vaccinated. 79% must be immunized in order to have immunity.

“I Got My Shot” encourages Orange County residents to promote vaccination by sharing on social media. The campaign includes a Facebook profile picture frame and the hashtag #IGotMyShot, for use on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

The “I Got My Shot” website publishes vaccine myths and promotes county vaccination samples, which bring pictures to people who can’t get to vaccination clinics.

Walt Disney World recently made a vaccine available at the Health Service for Cast Members.WDWNT will continue to report on vaccinations in Orange County, Florida.
