How to buy a PS5: important tips

Select a retailer: As you can see from our list above, there are a lot of retailers to choose from, which can complicate the whole process of buying a PS5 a bit. We recommend that you pick a few of the larger retailers like Walmart and Amazon and keep an eye on the PS5 landing pages.
Sign up for stock alerts: Many retailers offer to notify you when they have the PS5 in stock, we recommend that you subscribe to them for their retailer.
Find the right product page: It might sound obvious. But make sure you are on the actual purchase page for the PS5 or PS5 Digital Edition. If you are on the landing page, you might miss the time of new arrivals.

It’s also a good idea to check out subscription-based wholesale retailers such as Sam’s Club, BJ’s Wholesale Club, and Costco. You need a paid membership to shop at these retailers. But that means less competition to thwart the authorities there. You may have to pay extra for the package. But it’s worth checking out these places either way. There are currently no online listings for these retailers to check out. But it might be worth going to each brick-and-mortar store to try your luck at this point.
It was a fairly difficult process to build this console in locking up all sorts of next-generation purchases. But as we approach the holidays, it’s highly likely there will be an additional PS5 available for purchase at some point, as Sony gets in touch with those looking to buy the PS5.

Unfortunately, one of the main reasons for the PS5 console shortage is due to the scalper. These opportunists use bots to scan retailers for PS5 stock when they’re available and buy as many consoles as they can at once.
When they have a console that is in great demand, they sell them for frequent extortion prices, often thousands of dollars. Business insider It was reported that one retailer could hold 200 PS5 consoles and could sell for more than $ 40,000.
