Four days after the loss of her husband Prince Philip, Queen Elizabeth II returned to work.

On Tuesday, the British monarch attended the retirement ceremony of a senior official. The news comes from the court circular, which is the official record of the royal ceremony.

The announcement did not surprise the former senior aide.

“Her family will step up and be by her side. But she will keep doing it, ”a palace source told People magazine on Wednesday. [Philip] I want you to break up. She did so when he was out of public life. “

“She will never abdicate because duty and honor and public service are as profound to her as they are,” another royal person told the outlet.

“I will miss my grandfather. But I know he wants us to keep working, ”wrote the 38-year-old.

People magazine shared that while Elizabeth downsized her public involvement over the past year due to the coronavirus outbreak. But she has been traveling with family members recently. In October, she and William teamed up for a visit to a senior laboratory.

The outlet added that in late March, the Queen issued a solo release to mark the centenary of the Royal Australian Air Force at the CWGC Air Force Memorial in Surrey.

Philip’s funeral will be held Saturday at Windsor Castle with a limit of 30 attendees due to restrictions on the coronavirus.
