At CES 2021 this week, gaming technology maker Razer revealed a new design concept for “Smart Mask” featuring N95 surgical respirator, RGB lighting and sound amplification technology. The idea behind a smart mask called Project Hazel is to improve safety and solve some of the social problems caused by masking, such as muffling, while preventing waste as it can be reused.
In particular, the Project Hazel smart mask is made of waterproof, scratch-resistant and recyclable plastic with a sealed seal that can be achieved by adjustable ear loops, the RGB lighting mentioned above, delivers over 16 million colors and lightning. Dynamic to highlight the wearer’s mouth, and the charging case also contains UV sterilized light And the built-in microphone can amplify the voice of the wearer. According to Razer, Project Hazel’s BFE Smart Pods can “filter at least 95% of airborne particles and are highly fluid resistance”.
Project Hazel isn’t the first time Razer has sponsored a response to COVID-19.You may recall that the company made headlines in early 2020 for a change in manufacturing facility to make donation masks.Project Hazel appears to be the next step. In Razer’s endeavors, though, it’s a concept design. But it hasn’t been told at this point whether it will hit the market or just notify the company’s other efforts.

Razer said in a Project Hazel release. “The Project Hazel smart mask concept is intended to be comfortable and useful for interacting with the world while maintaining a sociable aesthetic.”
