Rebel has documented her lifestyle overhaul on social media over the past year, revealing her fitness secrets, diet and inspiration.
The blonde started gaining weight when she reached 20 years old, admitting she gained 25 kilograms by going to college.
She was diagnosed with PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome), which causes problems with hormonal and metabolic imbalances, and Rebel said her symptoms, coupled with an unhealthy diet and ‘Comfort and emotional eating’ meant she would struggle to avoid weight gain.

She said learning calorie foods, not ‘food’, was an essential part of her weight loss journey.
‘What I know is that it’s not a self-healing 2,000-calorie dessert, it’s not a self-healing, it’s getting toxins into my body that I don’t need. Is it a momentary convenience? Yes. But the next hour it will be fat and it is not healthy. ‘
Rebel admits her size has helped her get her comedic roles that have shaped her career, including ‘Fat Amy’ in the Pitch Perfect franchise.
‘I started gaining weight and I’m like, do you know what’s good for bigger girls? Funny, ‘she explained.

Her success, however, meant that she was a ‘dove’ as a large actress, said Hollywood executives. ‘Wanted me to play Fat Amy in a lot of movies and call the character something a little different.’
She now hopes to expand her acting CV and take on more serious roles. But admitted she had a lot to justify her departure from the comedic role that made her one of the world’s most famous stars.
