RHOA alum NeNe Leakes has revealed that husband Gregg’s cancer is back and he’s in the hospital after surgery.

Two years after he was declared cancer-free, NeNe Leakes has revealed that her husband Gregg Leakes is battling the disease again.

The former Real Housewives Of Atlanta star revealed Monday that Gregg is in hospital and recovering from surgery.

Gregg was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2018, and NeNe shared the news in an emotional Instagram post in which she captioned a photo of her husband in the doctor’s office. The battle begins’

The diagnosis and treatment put a strain on their marriage. But both seem to be able to survive the storm.

On Monday, NeNe said: ‘I’m sure he’ll be home in about a week or so.’

She added: ‘It’s hard…..if you’ve been around someone with cancer before. He will be different. He is different.’

Stay positive: ‘It’s tough,’ the 53-year-old Real Housewife of Atlanta said during Instagram Live with The Jasmine Brand. ‘I’m sure he’ll be home in a week or so.’

End of treatment: In May 2019, the couple celebrated after Gregg, now 66, was officially declared cancer-free.

The couple’s troubles arose in the 11th season of their hit Bravo show, with NeNe nearing its retirement.

Their marital tensions reached a critical point during an RHOA reunion in April 2019 when Gregg joined his wife of more than 20 years.

During another meeting, Andy Cohen asks what they both want. ‘Save the marriage’? And Gregg replied firmly: ‘I can.’

NeNe, however, apparently declined to make the same announcement.

‘I can’t tell you what I’m going to do,’ she said. ‘I feel like I’m being pushed against a wall. And I’m like, ‘No!’

Gregg later admitted to Cohen that while he loved Nene, they might have just ended up. ‘Best friend’ at the end

When Cohen said the cancer diagnosis seemed to make “Everything was exponentially worse” for them, Nene agreed it had added “stress” but stressed that it was not a major issue.

‘Greg isn’t going for a walk in the park. even though he doesn’t have cancer He’s not a walker in the park,” she admits.

‘Sometimes I’m in trouble,’ agrees Greg. ‘I’m not the poster child for peace. No one is perfect.’

She admitted that they were in discussions and were no longer sleeping in the same room, saying that ‘our relationship is not very good’.

NeNe and Gregg were married for the first time in 1997 and divorced in 2011. However, they reunited and married a second time in 2013.
