Riverside County residents 65 and older and workers required to get the COVID vaccine.



Riverside County has confirmed that people 65 and older, as well as some essential workers, can begin getting vaccinated against the coronavirus.

According to the county’s website, there is a vaccine available for employees working in Phase 1A – All Tiers, Phase 1B – Tier 1, and people 65 and older.

Tier 1B includes law enforcement, education, food and agriculture, and emergency services.

The clinic will provide the vaccine free of charge, however, on-show must register prior to arrival and provide proof of eligibility. (Business identity badge, letter of recommendation from employer)

Health insurance information will be requested.Those 65 and older seeking help with appointment can call the Riverside County Seniors Office at 800-510-2020 or 2-1-1.

The vaccine will be given to those who have made an appointment only. The latest information about vaccination distribution, including where and how to register, can be found at ruhealth.org/covid-19-vaccine

The clinic will open on Sunday, January 17 at Indio Fairgrounds. The facility will be a walk-up clinic. You must still be registered for vaccination.

Driving clinics in Lake Elsinore are open Saturday only to people 65 and older.

This comes after Governor Gavin Newsom announced the state was allowing residents aged 65 and older to receive the rare coronavirus vaccine.
