The Nintendo Switch’s latest 12.0.0 firmware update might not seem like much, according to the official patch notes. But according to the information, there is a lot more exciting information about its backend.
As of yesterday’s discovery – the introduction of a “new” switch dock may be on its way, now it has been discovered that this latest update adds audio support to the system’s Bluetooth drivers.
This information was once again shared by the well-known Nintendo dataminer OatmealDome:
As OatmealDome adds, Bluetooth audio is a “highly requested feature” on the Nintendo Switch, and with the increasingly widespread Bluetooth headset, we’re sure multiplayer will be happy to be able to connect. Some wireless headsets are compatible with their systems.
To combat the lack of support for wireless headsets over the years, we’ve seen a number of third-party companies release dongles that connect directly to the Switch.
So what do you think? Does this sound too good to be true, or do you think Nintendo might finally make Bluetooth audio devices compatible with the Switch? Share your thoughts below.
