Russian police are investigating a bizarre circus show featuring a monkey in a Nazi costume and a swastika sporting goat, according to a report on Wednesday.
The animals were caught on camera parades around the State Circus of Udmurtia in Izhevsk by carers in Soviet uniforms last week, according to the UK Sun.
Forest footage shows a goat clad in a red swastika cloaked a hoof next to a monkey wearing an official black Nazi uniform.
The show, seen by children and commissioned by the Russian Orthodox Church, could violate a Russian law prohibiting Nazi symbolism.
Police and local prosecutors are investigating whether the show celebrates Adolf Hitler or Nazi culture.
But the church said the actors simply used animal actors to portray the country̵7;s historic triumph over Hitler during World War II.
“The performance of a trainer wearing a Soviet military uniform with a Nazi symbolic animal was not merely a picture of the victory over fascism,” a church representative told the store.[It depicts] The whole world condemns the ideals of Nazi Germany “
The circus added that no one else was involved in the show as The Third Reich’s bananas.
These dogs might find adventure elsewhere.
“Instructor in the form of a Red Army soldier. [were] Chase after a training animal wearing Nazi symbols, ”said a circus representative.
Last year, Vladimir Putin signed an exemption to allow the Swastika to be worn at the show if they portrayed Nazis in a negative light.
