Russian police investigate circus show featuring animals dressed in Nazi costumes

Russian police are investigating a bizarre circus show featuring a monkey in a Nazi costume and a swastika sporting goat, according to a report on Wednesday.

The animals were caught on camera parades around the State Circus of Udmurtia in Izhevsk by carers in Soviet uniforms last week, according to the UK Sun.

Forest footage shows a goat clad in a red swastika cloaked a hoof next to a monkey wearing an official black Nazi uniform.

The show, seen by children and commissioned by the Russian Orthodox Church, could violate a Russian law prohibiting Nazi symbolism.

Police and local prosecutors are investigating whether the show celebrates Adolf Hitler or Nazi culture.

But the church said the actors simply used animal actors to portray the country̵

7;s historic triumph over Hitler during World War II.
