Samsung brings SmartThings to Android Auto.



After announcing that a partnership with Google will bring Nest devices to SmartThings this year, Samsung is going to integrate it into one of Google’s platforms.In addition to the revelations of the Galaxy S21 series, Samsung revealed that SmartThings is coming to Android. Auto

The SmartThings app for Android will soon support Android Auto.Samsung hasn’t confirmed exactly when this function will come, only saying the Galaxy S21 will be able to use the feature.

Samsung explains that users will be able to “turn on the lights on your balcony or even raise the thermostat before you go home.

The UI shown shows Android Auto apps with automation options such as “Going Home” and “Go Out”. This allows for quick taps to perform actions such as turning lights on / off, opening / closing doors, or turning them off. Garage or adjust other equipment, there is also a “location”

; button on the interface. But we’re not sure what specifically to do. It’s unclear if this SmartThings app will work with Google Assistant on Android Auto.
