In the latest episode of Vogue’s “Life in Look” video series, Gomez shares details of her fashion looks over the years. and revealed that she experienced some form issues when she wore a white Vera Wang dress at the 2015 Met Gala.

“My weight fluctuates a lot,” explains the 28-year-old actress, “and I remember tonight in particular I didn’t feel good about my body.”
“What was really amazing was that I had the opportunity to wear clothes that fit my body,” she added. “I had such a beautiful time wearing this outfit. I think we come together and create something really beautiful. And it’s something that really suits me.”

Speaking about the outfit she wore at the 2019 premiere of “The Dead Don’t Die,” Gomez said the event “It was a time in my life when my weight fluctuated.”
“I’m very honest with the people in the team. So I don’t want to wear tight clothes. Then I tried on the dress and it felt beautiful,” she says, “and focused on that point. [her chest] A lot. But I feel like a Barbie.”
The Disney Channel alum suffers from lupus. She revealed her diagnosis in 2015 and received a kidney transplant in 2017.

While appearing on her friend Raquelle Stevens’ “Giving Back Generation” podcast in 2019, Gomez opened up about her weight fluctuations. Noting that these aren’t a direct result of lupus but a “combination factor,” the “Spring Breakers” star also revealed that she had an embarrassing experience after she gained weight.
“I have experience [body-shaming] with my weight going up and down for the first time,” Gomez recalls at the time. entertainment tonight“I have lupus and deal with kidney problems and high blood pressure. So I dealt with a lot of health issues, and for me, that’s when I started noticing more of my body.”
“It’s a drug I have to take for the rest of my life. It even depends on the month,” Gomez said. “For me, I really noticed. when someone started attacking me for that. in fact That’s just my reality. I fluctuate. It depends on what’s going on in my life.”
