SINGAPORE – Singapore and Hong Kong have once again pushed for the start of the long-anticipated air travel bubble, with the two cities announced on Monday.
The journey bubble, which will allow travelers to cross the quarantine, is planned to begin on May 26.The project has faced a series of delays since its initial launch date in November 2020.
Singapore̵7;s transport ministry said in a statement. “With the escalation of recent unconnected community cases, Singapore is unable to meet the criteria to start” a travel bubble.
Meanwhile, the Hong Kong government said in a statement that further updates would be announced on or before June 13.
