The third high altitude test of the SpaceX Starship prototype is scheduled for Wednesday. You can watch the release here.

Update: 6:27 p.m. ET: SpaceX successfully managed to soft landing of SN1

The window for Wednesday’s release is open and will end at 7:00 PM ET. The updated T-minus is expected to happen around 6:00 PM ET, predicting the best current launch. It is approximately 18:15.

The SN10’s flight should resemble the previous two, where the Starship prototype aircraft flew at an altitude of about 6 miles (9.7 kilometers), followed by aerodynamic descent.SpaceX will again attempt a vertical landing. The company has yet to pull off this monster rocket. In both previous instances, the rocket exploded with enormous fireballs while attempting to land.

Previously, the launch of the Starship prototype will be performed at SpaceX’s testing facility in Boca Chica, Texas.

SpaceX intends to use Starship as a vehicle to transport cargo and passengers to Earth’s orbit, the Moon, Mars, and perhaps beyond. The rockets are designed to function as an autonomous rocket or as a second stage of a reusable launch system.
