Yesterday, the Daily Mail published the words of a new study that makes some claims about the origin of the coronavirus. The study itself has not yet been published. This means that no outside experts had the opportunity to weigh in on the matter. It’s probably best to take all of this with a large grain of salt right now.
The author of this new article is “British professor Angus Dalgleish and Norwegian scientist Dr. Birger Sørensen,” according to the Daily Mail, they are accusing several things. Plus, they’ve identified evidence that the virus has been manipulated in a lab. But this article goes beyond that to claim that the authors have identified how it could have been done at the Wuhan Laboratory:
Dalgleish and Sørensen have now written a new study, which concludes that ̵6;SARS-Coronavirus-2′ There is no credible natural ancestor’ and ‘above reasonable suspicion’ that the virus is built through. ‘Laboratory management’
In a 22-page article scheduled to be published in the scientific journal Quarterly Review of Biophysics Discovery, the scientists describe Month-long ‘forensic analysis’ It looks back at the experiments done in the Wuhan lab between 2002 and 2019.
Dalgleish and Sørensen excavated the archives of journals and archives. has compiled how some Chinese scientists work with American universities. accused of creating a tool to create the coronavirus
Basically, they claim that this is the result of functional research conducted in the BSL-2 and BSL-3 sections of the lab, which have escaped. Dalglish told the Daily Mail that “I don’t care about it, Gain of Function engineering should have been banned a long time ago.
And the author makes another claim over all of this. They believe that in recent years Chinese scientists have retroactively engineered the virus to naturally appear.
In another notable claim in the research paper, Dalgleish and Sørensen said they had evidence that after the pandemic started. Chinese scientists have taken samples of the COVID-19 virus and ‘retro-engineered’ it appears to have evolved naturally.
They said they suspected a new strain had suddenly entered the gene database by Chinese scientists in the early 2020s, years after they were recorded as being collected.
“We think there’s a retro-designed virus,” Dalgleish told DailyMail.com. ‘They changed the virus and tried to put it in order years ago’
I’m just going to say that it looks like a lot to cram into 22 pages of paper. Any of these claims will be important in themselves.
These same researchers wrote a similar article about the lab leak last year. But they claim they haven’t found anyone willing to publish because of conventional wisdom on laboratory leak theory. We’ll have to wait until it’s published to see if other similarly certified experts find it convincing.
