The Texans around Dallas will go to elections Saturday to fill the seat of late Rep. Ron Wright, deciding between 23 candidates, including Wright’s widow, to replace Republicans in the United States. State 6th Congressional District

Wright, a second-term congressman, died in February after being diagnosed with the coronavirus. He was the first Congressman to die of the virus.

The race to fill his seat has now become one of the most closely watched this year, showing the demographic shift of the parliamentary districts in many of the southern suburbs and the influence of the past. President Donald Trump

Recent polls show Susan Wright, the wife of the deceased Congressman, narrowly led the group. But both she and the next top candidate, Democrat Jana Lynne Sanchez, did not appear to receive a majority of the votes to gain their seat immediately.

If no candidate receives more than 50% of the vote, the top 2 voters face each other.

Trump endorsed Wright in the race, making her a huge demand among conservatives. But the district has tended to be more blue in recent years.

Last year, according to Ballotpedia, Trump won the district by just 3 percent while Ron Wright won by nine.

While Susan Wright and other Republicans are bonding themselves to former president, the stadium also includes anti-Trump GOP candidate Michael Wood.

On Friday, Wright made contact with federal law enforcement after her campaign learned of robocalls, claiming she had killed her husband. It doesn’t sink in, ”she said in a statement.

Early voting for the competition starts April 19.
